Lucy Beal
“America’s Optimism Coach,” Lucy Beal has been involved in the health and wellness industry for more than 17 years. Lucy has dedicated her life’s work and goals to empowering women through her speaking, writing, and professional service as a life coach. This spiritual teacher is an Honors Graduate of the Master’s degree program in Counseling at the University of Wisconsin and a Summa Cum Laude graduate of California State University with a BS degree in Health Science. She is also a National Certified Counselor, a member of the International Coach Federation, various other worldwide organizations, and has a thriving life coaching practice in California’s Central Valley. Her recent book, Marriage Under Construction, takes a constructivist approach to marriage and combines several methods into a working structure for healing a challenging relationship. The book covers a wide range of issues including an age old study of the Eastern practice of Kundalini yoga and its relationship to the energy of optimism. |
Early into her career, Lucy’s professional focus was on making a significant contribution to eating disorders research and counseling for women. Upon discovering the challenges of her own midlife experience and how that tested her Optimism, Lucy chose to focus her life’s work on helping women LIVE with optimism during one of the most confusing, understudied, and lengthy stages of women's’ development. She discovered that life coaching was a powerful means for helping to inspire Optimism, because focusing on solutions aligned with her values and her Optimistic mindset. As a result, Lucy answered her own call to be an authentic woman in midlife and switched gears from her role as a counselor and became a full-time life coach and entrepreneur. Within a year of opening her own practice, Lucy wrote three books and is currently working on her fourth. In her book series, Lucy has developed a relational coaching model that is clinically sound and based on the works of Dr. Carl Rogers, Dr. Carl Jung, and Dr. David R. Hawkins. As Cari LaGrange Murphy, Best-Selling Author of Create Change Now and Empowerment Mentor Worldwide, had to say;
Lucy is also founder of "Optimistic Hearts of America," a national campaign dedicated to educating, informing, and inspiring women about the health benefits of Optimism, especially in reducing the risk of death from heart disease and other chronic illnesses. Her campaign is associated with the Hope Heart Institute, whose benefactor is legendary Bob Hope and Dr. Lester R. Sauvage, MD, founder of the Reconstructive Cardiovascular Research Laboratory at the Institute and conductor of the world's first successful experimental Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG) operation. Lucy is dedicated to helping advance Hope Heart Institute’s research and programs through the generous donations of Optimistic women across the country. References |
